One of the grandest old homes in the district, Laurel Bank House is our hottest new B&B location in Queenstown. Charming & eccentric hostess Sheena, will shower you with enthusiasm! Laurel Bank House was built mid 1892 specifically as a summer guest house. She is full of surprises, full of stories, and ready to help you create magic memories. In a 1905 description of the house, she comprised eight guest rooms, a sitting room, kitchen, and a bathroom with hot and cold water! During the 1980s Laurel Bank House was used as hotel staff accommodation, and in the 1990s she was converted into four large rental flats. Boarded up and left in 2003, demolition was a possibility for this majestic old lady. In 2008 courageous Sheena and Steve rescued Laurel Bank and moved her in three massive truckloads to the present location. They then spent a dedicated seven years restoring her to her former glory. And now, surrounded by magnificent mountains in a gorgeous garden, she is a home filled with joy, fab fur children, and Sheena on hand to fill you in with local happenings, history and food. Choose between the Carole Anne Room, the Margaret Masie Room, the Ivan Charles Room and the George Robert Room. All of these rooms have a Guest Share Bathroom and a guest room lounge to relax in. Wifi included and a tasty breakfast in the formal dinning room at the front of the house.
There is also the Overton Suite, with a Queen Size Bed, ensuite bathroom and a small kitchen, plus Sky TV
